The Oklahoma City Public School Foundation co-hosted a Read Across America Day event on Saturday at the Belle Isle Library.

The celebration included interactive games, activities, special guests, snacks, and the ReadOKC On the Go! Book Bus.

The Metropolitan Library System co-hosted the event.

Several local luminaries were on hand, including State Sen. Carri Hicks, children’s author Tammi Sauer, and Oklahoma County Commissioner Carrie Blumert.
